Brant Hammer Appointed Fred T. Tattersall Excellence in Financial Industry Chair

Brant Hammer, teaching assistant professor in the Finance department, has been appointed as the Fred T. Tattersall Excellence in Financial Industry Chair.

Endowed by Fred T. Tattersall, a Finance alumnus and longtime supporter of the Chambers College, this chair supports Finance students’ experiential learning related to investments and helps them develop their careers. Hammer was selected on account of his work with the Student Managed Investment Fund and his deep commitment to increasing students’ knowledge of investments.

A study by McIntrye found that when religiosity is more than attending a place of worship — “when it’s a commitment to religious principles and activities” — it strengthens the desire to create a business with a conscience.
