Paul Speaker Appointed Fred T. Tattersall Distinguished Teaching Chair in Finance

Paul Speaker, professor in the Finance department, has been appointed as the Fred T. Tattersall Distinguished Teaching Chair in Finance for the Chambers College.

Endowed by Fred T. Tattersall, a Finance alumnus and longtime supporter of the Chambers College, this position honors professors who have demonstrated excellence as teachers. Speaker was selected on account of his teaching prowess, having been recognized as the Finance department’s Outstanding Teacher twelve times in his career. He was also the Chambers College’s first recipient of the WVU Foundation Outstanding Teaching Award – the highest teaching award in the university – in 1990.
